Children & Teens

Big Brother Big Sister Program
403-843-1066
Big Brothers and Big Sisters are people like you who volunteer to share a little time with a young person. At Rimbey Big Brothers Big Sisters, we have two important ways that you can be involved in mentoring a child:
In School Mentoring!
It’s a small commitment that makes a big difference. Become a mentor to a child in a school environment. You’ll help build a child’s self-esteem and school performance while having a lot of fun. And it only takes one hour a week during the school year. One child...One hour a week...One big reason to go back to school!
Traditional Mentoring!
Traditional mentoring involves a commitment of two hours a week. Little brothers and sisters are great kids anxiously waiting to have fun with someone like you! Children who spend time with a mentor gain confidence, acquire new skills and competencies and develop an enhanced capacity to care for others.
A little help goes a long way!  For more information, please call: 403-843-1066.

Kids in Sport of Rimbey are here to help out kids who are not able to take part in sports and most activities in our community because of present financial difficulties in their homes. Soccer, football, rugby, hockey, swimming, bowling, and summer camp are examples of sports and activities that we can help out with. To request financial assistance parents, coaches or kids are required to write us a brief letter, text or email outlining the situation causing the need, the sport or activity, and the amount required to participate. Include a phone number/email of the contact person such as the coach or facility where the money is to be paid to, as we do not pay to the kids or families directly. We will respond soon after with what we can do to help out. Names are kept in confidence.

We gratefully accept donations in cash or check so that we can continue to help out kids in our community stay active and fit.
