The Town of Rimbey and the surrounding area have a full range of top quality facilities. Whatever your sport - golfing, swimming, racquetball, tennis, curling, baseball, hockey, skiing, etc. you can do it all in Rimbey! Recreational activities offer easy accessibility at very affordable rates. Or you may wish to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of our many parks.

Facilities & Rates

The Town of Rimbey operates the following recreation facilities: Rimbey Arena, Rimbey Community Centre, Rimbey Swimming Pool (outdoor), and the Nesting Place RV Park.  The Community Centre consists of two auditoriums, two meeting rooms, and racquetball/squash courts.  For more information on facilities, click here.


Recreation Programs

Programs are offered through the Recreation Office for people of all ages.  We encourage participants to register early to avoid program cancellation.  For more information on program, click here.


Parks

There are a number of parks and playgrounds in Rimbey.  The Rimbey Lions Club maintains playground equipment at two parks in town.  Pas-Ka-Poo Park is a popular park in Rimbey as it includes a historic village and truck museum.  For more information on parks, click here.


Schedules

The arena schedule is posted in two-week intervals.  The schedule is updated regularly and is a good source for scheduling information.  The Rimbey Swimming Pool schedule is usually released in May.  For schedules, click here.


Sports, Recreation & Culture Groups

There are several sports, recreation and culture groups in Rimbey including the Rimbey Art Club; Blindman Valley Ski Club; Blindman Valley Gun Club; Curling Club; Girl Guides, Brownies and Sparks; Medicine Lodge Ski Hill; Minor Ball Association; Model Airplane Flyer's Group; Music Teacher's Association; Rimbey Boxing Club; Rimbey Gymnastics Club; Minor Hockey Association; Seniors Drop-in Centre; and the Slo-Pitch Association.  For more information on our clubs, click here.


Outdoor Recreation Opportunities

Rimbey is centrally located amongst many lakes and rivers, and close to the foothills.  Rimbey is the ideal area for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, boating with close proximity to Sylvan Lake, Gull Lake and Pigeon Lake.  The following map illustrates the well-known fishing spots in the Rimbey area.
